Our principles
- Useful first. Each guide answers a real question a traveller has, in the first lines.
- First-hand where it matters. We visit the places we recommend, and we say so when we haven’t.
- Official sources for facts. Prices, opening hours and rules come from official websites (monuments, transport companies, the city and regional governments), checked regularly.
- Independent recommendations. Nobody can pay to be included, and affiliate commissions never decide what we recommend.
- Written for each language. Our Italian and French guides are written by native speakers for those readers, not machine translated.
How we research and update pages
- Research. We combine our own visits with official sources, recent traveller reviews and local contacts. We compare every bookable option (official tickets, guided tours, resellers) and explain the differences.
- Facts that change (prices, hours, dates, fares) are checked before a guide is published and at least once a season for our most-read guides. Each guide shows its “last checked” date.
- Events such as Semana Santa and the Feria are updated as soon as the official dates are announced.
- Hotels. We only list hotels with a location that works for visitors, a strong and consistent guest rating (usually 8.5 out of 10 or more), and a reason to recommend them: character, value, views or a pool. We prefer hotels we have stayed in or visited.
- Tours and shows. We recommend operators with consistently good recent reviews, fair cancellation policies and real guides.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake or something has changed, please tell us through the contact page. We check every report and correct errors quickly. Significant corrections are noted on the page.
AI and automation
We use software to help with research, translation drafts and checking our pages for broken links. Every guide is written, reviewed and fact-checked by a person before it is published.
